Something for everyone

Restaurants, theatres, art galleries, museums and leisure clubs are all within the city centre.

There are over 70 parks within the city (Glasgow - or 'Glas cu' literally means 'Dear Green Place' ) including Glasgow Green, Kelvingrove and Pollok Park, home to the renowned Burrell collection.

Scotland's great outdoors is right on the city's doorstep - golf, hill walking, water sports and any number of other activities are all within easy reach. Loch Lomond is within half an hour's drive of the city centre.

Voted 'UK's Coolest City' by National Geographic Traveller Magazine, Glasgow is a great place to stay in and to play in. More than three million visitors arrive every year to join in the fun.

And it's impossible to talk about Glasgow without mentioning Rangers and Celtic. The city is also home to Hampden, Scotland's national football stadium, and host of the 2002 UEFA Champion's League Final.
